About Stephanie Rowland, president and founder
Stephanie Rowland is a communications pro with more than 25 years of results with a wide range of businesses. She has a proven track record in marketing communications, media relations, analyst relations, strategic planning, project management, event management, content development, writing/editing, and messaging development. She worked for nearly ten years as both a consultant to Microsoft Corporation at the premier PR firm of Waggener Edstrom, and then at Microsoft in various PR and marketing roles. Today she continues to provide communications consulting services for many businesses within Microsoft, as well as local and national companies across a range of industries.
Stephanie has coached many executive-level Microsoft clients on everything from presentation content to crisis communications with press, analysts and customers. For six years at Microsoft, she held various PR, marketing and communications roles for sales and partner organizations, working with large, enterprise customers like Ford Motor Company and Nestlé. She has developed and executed many different media and analyst plans and end-to-end programs. Stephanie understands how to take complex stories and make them relevant and appealing for mainstream audiences. This includes developing messaging and content and identifying new opportunities for storytelling. She has experience in managing a full PR team, including running a budget, overseeing multiple agency partners, and integrating with other Microsoft teams.
In addition to her strong PR focus, Stephanie has extensive experience building new multi-million dollar programs from the ground up for Microsoft. These programs have included Microsoft’s company-wide Industry Analyst Relations program, a marketing and advertising program for Microsoft partners to drive joint business objectives around enterprise product launches, and a new worldwide marketing and public relations organization for Microsoft’s Global Accounts sales segment. This execution has included marketing communications, branding, event management, customer website strategy and executive messaging.
She has experience ghost writing for corporate executives, including blogs, presentations, speeches and internal memos. She also develops website copy, social media content, newsletters, case studies, bios, testimonials, and more.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Journalism. She participated as a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) for 12 years, serving various executive committee roles including vice president and communications director. She is also active in the community through her memberships in various local chambers of commerce and offers volunteer communications services for several businesses.
